On the road again! this time to Las Vegas. The land of glitz and glam - where everything is bigger and flashier than real. As one woman we overheard said, "Why go to the real Paris when the one here is better AND they serve proper hamburgers!" |

LAS VEGAS - WHERE
YOU CAN START BETTING AS SOON AS YOUR PLANE LANDS!
This is the gate area at the Las Vegas airport.
We start
our trip by doing a bit of a walk about the town just trying to take it all in.
What we find are more kitschy hotels than you could ever imagine.

Valley of Fire state park - a truly awesome (and silent)
site in the midst of all
the Vegas tackiness!
So, after a wonderful day amongst the joy of nature, we return that night
to the city....

The slots may not be paying out, but we SURE were! We guess they have to pay for that $10m glass ceiling somehow! That's the show's Stage Manager, Chris, in the background, who was so kind as to give us a back stage tour!

Usually, these are the only boys in good shape that one will see in Las Vegas...
... However, once a year, hundreds of boys flood into town for...

We start with an afternoon water park
tea dance.
Just us ... and about 1000 men in bathing suits.

In the 'It's a
Small World' department - we run into Al of San Francisco, who we had

Well, there you have it, that's LAS VEGAS - not a bad place to visit ... you just have to suspend disbelief and, maybe, just a bit of good taste to get it! Snake eyes!
